Colleges, Schools & Departments
Simmons has established four colleges, each incorporating a complementary selection of academic fields.

Pathways to meaningful work
Our academic design not only groups complementary fields within the same colleges, it also makes it easier for both graduate and undergraduate students to combine the study of disciplines across the colleges, allowing both students and faculty to work around disciplinary “corners” and open up new inter-professional opportunities and pathways to meaningful work.
Our Academic Design

College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences
In the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences, you'll find inspiration at the intersection of life and science — cultivating innovative practices and procedures required to advance our scientific future and save lives.

College of Organizational, Computational, and Information Sciences
The College of Organizational, Computational, and Information Sciences empowers students to change the world by harnessing the power of information. You'll find new patterns in potential pandemics, critique political campaigns, and examine global marketing strategies.

College of Social Sciences, Policy, and Practice
At the College of Social Sciences, Policy, and Practice, our students understand that to change the world, you need to understand it. From development to implementation, our students study the impacts of policy and analyze the social forces that shape communities around the globe.

The Gwen Ifill College of Media, Arts, and Humanities
The Gwen Ifill College of Media, Arts, and Humanities cultivates trailblazers and leaders. Here, you'll study the modes of expression through which we record and interpret the human experience. Our students view society through the multi-faceted lenses of language, narrative, art, music, film and contemporary media. You'll hone your creative abilities through real-world projects and on-the-job learning experiences.
