Accessing mental health care while at Simmons


Undergraduate Students

The Counseling Center offers in-person and tele-health counseling and is open from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday. If you are interested in meeting with a counselor, please follow these instructions:

  • If you would like to make an appointment with a counselor, please email [email protected] or call 617-521-2455 and someone will respond within 24 “business” hours.
  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and can’t wait for a response from us, please call Public Safety at 617-521-1112.  If you are off campus, call 911 or go to your local emergency room.
  • For 24/7 non-emergency support, call ComPsych® at 866-335-4888 to speak with a counselor.  

If you need immediate assistance, and are on campus, please contact Public Safety: 617-521-1112. If you are off campus, please call 911 or visit your local emergency room.

Graduate Students

If you are a graduate student, click here to access Student Assistance Program (SAP). Undergraduates also have access to the SAP.

The Counseling Center Staff


The Counseling Center staff is made up of licensed Clinical Social Workers, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists, and we train interns in social work, counseling, and psychology. We are committed to the emotional, physical and spiritual development of undergraduate and graduate students. All staff and interns have been trained to address a wide range of presenting concerns, though we each have unique clinical interests and specialties.

The Counseling Center
