Affiliated Faculty in Race, Gender, & Sexuality Studies
The allied programs in the Department of Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies include Affiliated Faculty. Affiliated Faculty status allows faculty to have a recognized relationship to a department or program outside their formal appointment.
Affiliated faculty status is appropriate for faculty who have teaching or scholarly expertise relevant to the affiliate department and its programs. This will often mean regularly teaching a core course and/or important electives within the department of affiliation. Or, it may reflect relevant professional experience, scholarship, or creative activity that substantially enriches the experiences of students in the affiliate department.
Affiliated status is conferred by the Chair of the affiliated department, in consultation with the relevant program director.
