Graduate Grades

School of Business:
Standard letter grades (ABCDF, plus and minus) are used.
Prior to 2000, the grades were assigned as:

  • DI — Distinction
  • HP — High Pass
  • SA — Satisfactory
  • LP — Low Pass
  • P — Pass
  • F - Failure

SSW:
Students may choose either the Pass/Fail option or the letter grade. The Doctor of Philosophy program only offers the Pass/Fail grading option.

  • P — Pass
  • MP — Marginal Pass
  • F — Fail
  • S — Intermediate grade given upon completion of one semester of a full year course
  • W — Withdrawal
  • RW — Required Withdrawal

  • TCE - Transfer Credit Evaluation. All transfer students who submit their transcripts from a previous institution will have their transcript evaluated and we will determine which courses/credits will be accepted at Simmons.
