Dr. Prelack graduated from Syracuse University with a dual degree in Nutrition Science and General Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. While a practicing dietitian, she earned her doctoral degree in Human Nutrition from Tufts University, where she serves as an adjunct associate professor. She has served as the Director of Clinical Nutrition at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Boston, for more than 20 years, where she continues to do research and collaborate as a Scientific Investigator. Dr. Prelack has been an instructor at Simmons University since 2014, and has recently joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in Nutrition.
Dr. Prelack is dedicated to helping students develop their clinical nutrition and counseling skills with a focus on evidence based, culturally competent provision of care.
