We're here to help

At Simmons Health Services, our mission is to maintain and enhance the health of the Simmons student body through comprehensive and accessible primary health care.

We endeavor to support students in the pursuit of their academic and personal growth through promotion of healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.

We hope to accomplish these goals in an inclusive Health Center environment that is welcoming and supportive of all Simmons students.

Update: Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE)

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) is monitoring closely where they are finding mosquitoes infected with the EEE virus. They are issuing alerts for the affected communities. EEE is a rare but serious disease and is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito.

Tips to Help Avoid Mosquito Bites

  • Limit: outdoor activities from dusk to dawn, when mosquitoes are most active
  • Apply: Insect Repellant The Massachusetts Department of Public Health particularly recommends an insect repellent with DEET, permethrin, picaridin or IR3535.  Apply according to the instructions on the label.
  • Wear: long-sleeves, long pants and socks when outside during peak hours

You can find more information in the Fact Sheet on EEE and Fact Sheet on Mosquito Repellents from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
