Make an Appointment
Appointments can be scheduled online via Handshake. Once logged into Handshake, from your home page select “Appointments” from the “Career Center” drop-down menu. You will need to specify your student type (undergraduate, graduate student, alum, etc.) and the type of appointment you would like (resume/cover letter review, career exploration, internship search, etc.). You then can choose from the available times for our career coaches, and specify the method of your appointment (in-person, over the phone, video chat). Once scheduled and approved, you will receive an email confirming your appointment.
Please note that you are not able to schedule an appointment online with less than 24-hours-notice (those who need an appointment with less notice are recommended to attend our drop-in hours, Monday – Thursday, 2 PM – 3:30 PM, first come, first served).
You can also make an appointment with the Career Education Center by calling 617-521-2488 or stopping by the CEC in the Center for Student Success on the ground floor of the Lefavour Building.
- 1 hour appointments include self-assessment or mock interviews.
- 30 minute appointments include support on choosing your major/program, resume and cover letter review, or career and graduate school planning.
- 15 minute drop-in appointments address the career-related issues you are encountering, depending on where you are in the career development process.
- Please note that alums can choose a full hour appointment for any type of career coaching.

Maps & Directions
Simmons Career Education Center
Center for Student Success
300 The Fenway
Boston, MA 02115
The CEC offices are located on the Simmons University academic campus (300 The Fenway) in the Center for Student Success on the ground floor of the Lefavour Building.
We strongly encourage all visitors to the Simmons University campus to consider taking public transportation before driving to campus. Limited on-campus parking is available at a discounted rate to visitors of the CEC. Parking may be obtained by employers, alumnae/i, and certain other guests. Current Simmons students and Simmons staff and faculty cannot request parking through the CEC.
To request visitor parking, please contact us.
Some important parking notes:
- The on-campus garage is located under the academic campus quadrangle and can be accessed from Avenue Louis Pasteur (access road is between the Park Science Building and Boston Latin School).
- The best GPS address for the garage is: 88 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston, MA 02115
- Parking in the on-campus garage is limited; permission to park only guarantees a discounted parking pass, not a parking spot in the garage. If the Simmons University garage is full, a sign will be posted outside the gate and you will need to park at a parking meter on a nearby street or at a local off-campus parking lot/garage.
- When entering the garage, you will receive a white ticket at the entrance gate. This ticket, combined with the discounted ticket you receive in our office, is necessary to exit the garage at the discounted rate. If the white ticket is lost, you will need to go to the Parking Office on the top level of the garage or pay the unvalidated rate to exit the garage.
- The unvalidated parking rate is a maximum of $30 per day — anyone who enters the garage without getting approval at least 24 hours in advance will be required to pay the unvalidated rate.
- For full parking details, including discounted parking rates, please see the Simmons Visitor Parking.
