Make an Appointment

Schedule your appointment online via Handshake:

  • From your Handshake homepage, select “Appointments” from the “Career Center” drop-down menu.
  • Specify your student type (undergraduate, graduate student, alum, etc.).
  • Select appointment type (resume, cover letter, career exploration, etc.).
  • Choose from available times for our career coaches.
  • Specify the method of your appointment (in-person, phone or virtual). 
  • Once scheduled and approved, you will receive an email confirming your appointment.

Appointments cannot be scheduled online less than 24-hours-notice.

Dr. Barbara Zerillo joined the CEC in January 2020 after serving as the Assistant Dean of Academic Services at Fisher College, where she began as the Director of Career Services in 2014. She has presented both internationally and nationally on topics including career coaching, internship programs, employer relation strategies, and LGBTQ-specific career advising. She holds a B.A. in Psychology & Spanish and an M.P.A. from Clark University and an Ed.D. with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University. Dr. Zerillo’s dissertation research was on “LGBTQ College Student Experiences Choosing to Disclose or Not Disclose Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity to College Faculty, Staff, and Peers."

Clare joined the CEC in October, 2014. In her role she provides undergraduates, graduate students and alumnae/i with individualized career coaching and career programming. Clare brings experience to the CEC from the career services offices at Lesley University, Emerson College, and Brandeis University as well as corporate recruiting experience from TripAdvisor. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Ithaca College and an M.S. in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University and is an MBTI Certified Practitioner as well as a Certified AAUW Salary Negotiation Facilitator.

Lindsay joined the Career Education Center in 2019. She supports the professional development of undergraduates, graduate students, and alumnae/i through career coaching, workshops, and other programming. Prior to Simmons, she worked in Career Education at Wellesley College; Laspau, a nonprofit affiliate of Harvard University; JobNet Career Center; and the Metropolitan College at Boston University. Lindsay received her B.A. in International Studies with minors in sociology and Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and she studied abroad at El Instituto San Joaquín de Flores in Costa Rica. She earned her Ed.M. in Higher Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education.

20+ years entrepreneurial and business expertise applied to Higher Education, Non-profit, Healthcare, and other sectors.10 years of direct coaching & facilitation experience working within the MassHire Career Center system in Massachusetts. As a current Simmons University Career Coach provide one-on-one coaching for undergraduate and graduate students, and college alumnae/i. Participate in workshops delivering coaching on a wide range of career development topics and facilitates the development and communication of career resources and best practices. Program Management: Creating, marketing, and monitoring business solution services. Presentation and public speaking expertise. Exemplary project leadership skills. Networking & Collaboration: Team building with multiple college, community, and company partners.

Emily joined the Career Education Center at Simmons in September, 2021. As the Office Coordinator she oversees day-to-day operations, serving as the principal point of contact for students, staff, faculty, and alumnae/i as they engage with the CEC. Emily recently shifted from the arts working at Carnegie Hall over to social work and is also a current MSW student at Simmons. She's happy to be a resource for students as they navigate next steps in their careers, however big or small those may be.
