Marquet Houston

Assistant Director for Residential Engagement

Marquet Houston (he/him/his) serves as the Area Coordinator for Area 3 which consists of Arnold, Dix, and South Hall. Originally from Florida, Marquet has been to 34 states and 3 countries. Houston earned both his Bachelors in Music Education and Masters in Higher Education Administration from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. In his role as Assistant Director, he supports all of the residential students by being a resource for students and families seeking additional information and guidance.

While Houston doesn’t have any pets of his own, his favorite Simmons tradition is Dogs of Reslife, where students can interact with the Residence Life Staff and their dogs. Houston loves spending time reading in the McKim Courtyard at the Boston Public Library. He also loves music and enjoys going to concerts at the various music venues in the Fenway area.
