Marcelo Korc

Adjunct Faculty in the Role of Section Instructor

Dr. Korc is the Representative of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Paraguay. He has over 30 years of experience in designing, planning, and managing strategic efforts and conducting research studies in health equity with an emphasis on environmental determinants of health and populations in conditions of vulnerability in the Americas. Prior to joining PAHO/WHO in 1998, he worked in the private sector for Sonoma Technology, Inc. and Independent Project Analysis, Inc. in the United States of America.

Dr. Korc obtained a B.Sc. in chemical engineering (cum laude) from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (1987), a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester, New York (1992), and a Master’s in public health from the University of Texas at El Paso (2011). He is the author and co-author of over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and is a member of the U.S. National Environmental Health Association.
