Gwen Ifill Papers Open to Researchers

The Simmons University Archives is pleased to announce that the Gwen Ifill Papers are open to researchers.

Generously donated to the Simmons University Archives in 2017 by Gwen Ifill's brother, Bert Ifill, the collection documents the career of  Gwen Ifill '77, from her earliest work as a student through her groundbreaking success as a national newspaper reporter and television anchor.  

Containing writings, photographs, memorabilia, and other items, the Gwen Ifill Papers offer insight into the life and career of a trailblazing journalist.

In Fall 2019, a group of 11 Simmons undergraduate students began researching the lost West End. Supported by a “Humanities Research for the Public Good” grant from the Council of Independent Colleges, the students created a series of exhibits, including one for the West End Museum, one on Simmons’ campus, and a digital exhibit.
