Gaining a better understanding about the needs of homeless veterans.

The overall aim of this project is to gain a better understanding about the needs of veterans who are homeless who have sought supportive housing services with the goal of becoming stably housed but have chosen not to continue services (“frequent flyers”). The goals of the project are:

  1. Gain a better understanding about factors that encourage or discourage continued participation in supportive services for homeless veterans.
  2. From this understanding, identify practice principles that can enhance services to this population.
  3. Design a course on services for veterans.

This project is supported by the President’s Fund for Faculty Excellence. Contributing faculty: Associate Professor Abbie Frost.
