About Me
Dr. Rivard has been a physical therapist since 1981 and is currently practicing in an outpatient clinic. Her areas of specialization are adult orthopedics and geriatrics with interests in rehabilitation following total joint arthroplasty, exercise for aging adults, and fall prevention in the elderly. She has enjoyed teaching at Simmons University since 1991 due to the focus on small class sizes, self-directed learning, and collaboration. Her teaching areas include kinesiology, patient care skills, musculoskeletal practice, and therapeutic electrophysical agents.
