Simmons MS + Be Well Solutions Distance Dietetic Internship

Be Well Solutions (BWS) is a physician-owned worksite wellness company that provides a dynamic ACEND-accredited distance dietetic internship program. The Be Well Solution Distance DI Program is a wellness-focused program with a concentration in corporate wellness and disease prevention. As a distance program, interns create a unique internship rotation experience tailored to their career goals.

Student-interns in the Simmons MS + BWS DI partnership program work on their MS program and internship rotations simultaneously on a part time basis for up to 21-26 months, depending on the program start time. This partnership offers two start times, fall and spring.

Benefits of the BWS Partnership

  • Flexibility to do both programs from anywhere in the country and adjust academic and rotation schedules for a custom fit.
  • Wellness-focused coursework aligns with BWS DI's focal concentration areas. The MS also offers an elective course in advanced medical nutrition therapy that can support clinical rotations.
  • MS course work will fulfill the internship's community rotation.
  • The expedited application process uses the DICAS application for both DI and MS programs.
  • The online format of the MS program is well suited for distance interns. Students who are admitted to the BWS partnership program and choose to do the MS fully online are guaranteed a $15,000 scholarship for the MS program.
  • Interns in the partnership program receive a $500 discount on the BWS tuition.

Applying to the BWS Partnership Program

Application to the partnership program is made through the Simmons DICAS portal. Applicants indicate they want to apply to the Simmons MS + BWS DI partnership program and will be prompted to complete the BWS supplemental form. Application materials are shared with BWS, and Simmons notifies applicants of admission decisions.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend informational sessions for both programs and to contact each program with any questions. General information about Simmons' MS/DI partnership programs can be found on the partnership web page.
