Bresler teaches a range of classes exploring all aspects of the photographic medium, from traditional black and white, alternative processes and digital. Through patient observation and aesthetic exercises, students acquire stronger visual acuity.

Community Engagement

Bresler collaborates with institutions to engage with a broader representation of community. In 2009 Bresler produced the first public participatory conversation in collaboration with the Somerville Arts Council. In 2013 Bresleer was a visiting artist at The Boston Center for the Arts and produced an alternative economy based on photography, trust and trade exchange. In 2017, Bresler began the Yes Project, which has been exhibited at the Trustman Gallery and the New England School of Photography.

Research/Creative Activities

Since 2009 Bresler has been looking at Main Street America through the lens of state-run lotteries. By focusing on small family-run convenience stores and marketplaces where a winning jackpot ticket was sold, Bresler seeks to humanize an overlooked and booming economy.

Bresler is also keenly interested in fostering greater community engagement through collaborative and participatory projects.
