"Simmons is a force in today’s competitive higher education landscape, further elevating the stature of our distinctive undergraduate program for women and our nationally-recognized graduate programs."

Widely considered to be the preeminent ranking service, U.S.News & World Report publishes annual rankings of thousands of colleges and universities including 656 in the Regional University category.

Simmons is a force in today’s competitive higher education landscape, further elevating the stature of our distinctive undergraduate program for women and our nationally-recognized graduate programs.

Institutions included in the Regional Universities ranking offer a variety of undergraduate degrees and some master’s degree programs. The regions are divided and ranked in four geographical groups: North, South, Midwest and West.

The calculation for Best Value ranked 88 schools for their academic quality, as indicated by its 2019 U.S.News & World Report Best Colleges ranking, and the 2017-2018 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid.

Simmons also placed #11 overall out of 196 universities in the 2019 U.S.News & World Report Best Regional Universities North rankings. The rankings evaluate colleges and universities on 16 measures of academic excellence, including “widely accepted indicators of excellence as first-year student retention, graduation rates and the strength of the faculty.”
