Meeting Facilities

Throughout the year Simmons University offers 25 dedicated meeting spaces. One look at our spaces and you will see that we have the ability to provide a variety of rooms and can accommodate anywhere from 5 to 300 people.

Professional Meeting and Special Event Planning Services

The Simmons conference services team will collaborate with you to plan, customize and deliver affordable, successful meetings, trainings, and events. Whether you are organizing a one—day professional conference for regional business people, a series of educational workshops, or a weeklong residential camp for international students, we can provide the facilities, dining options, and support services to meet your needs.

Summer Conference Accommodations

Between June and August our residence halls are available for comfortable, affordable overnight accommodations. The residence halls are air-conditioned, have wireless access, lounge areas, kitchen facilities, laundry facilities and wheelchair accessible rooms.

The majority of our residence halls have been renovated since 1998, combining both suites and more traditional rooms. Most suites have 2 bedrooms (some have a third bedroom with 1 bed) living room and either 1 or 2 private bathrooms. One hall, has a combination of suites, singles and doubles with private bathrooms. The traditional rooms provide one room with two beds and 2 shared baths on each floor. Simmons University has a total of 1,000 bed spaces.

Catering and Dining Services

Our professional food service is exceptional and is here to satisfy your culinary desires. We offer a wide range of dining options, from basic coffee, juice and muffins, to elegantly catered dinners. In addition, cafeteria dining is available on both the main campus and the residence campus, increasing conference and event dining options. For example, summer residential programs/groups may choose a meal plan that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, or a combination that includes a meal plan plus special catering. Our creative chefs are ready to make your event a memorable experience from a tasty buffet luncheon to a creative snack break to an elegant sit down gourmet dinner. The dining services team pride themselves on quality, friendly, personal service. Our guests repeatedly praise staff for the level of attention they receive while at Simmons.

Support Services

Simmons provides experienced support staff and a variety of technology and support services. These include a full line of audio/visual equipment, including computer projection units; telephone conferencing; multimedia electronic classrooms and lecture halls; and campus-wide wireless internet access for guests. 

The Copy and Mail Center team is committed to providing quality service within a time frame that works for you. They offer copying, faxing, and mailing services. 

Simmons University employs uniformed public safety officers who are on duty at all campus locations twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. All supervisory staff are appointed as Massachusetts Special State Police Officers. They are Certified First Responders and are prepared to respond to medical crises that may occur on campus.

Sports and Recreation Center

For our guests who are seeking time out for exercise and relaxation, Simmons University offers the Holmes Sports and Fitness Center, a $10 million, 60,000 square foot facility located just steps from the residence halls. The Center houses state-of-the-art- training equipment, full basketball gym, an indoor running area, dance studio, and an Olympic-size swimming pool with sauna and hot tub, and more. There is a nominal fee for using these facilities.
