School/Department Directory

Simmons University has six distinct schools, each specializing in a different professional area. The Gwen Ifill School of Media, Humanities, and Social Sciences focuses on disciplines that analyze and interpret human culture and society. The School of Library and Information Science prepares students for careers in library services, archives, and information management. The School of Management educates future leaders in business and organizational administration. The School of Nursing offers programs that train nurses to deliver compassionate and evidence-based care. The School of Sciences and Health Professions covers a wide range of subjects from the natural and computational sciences to health and wellness. Finally, the School of Social Work is dedicated to clinical social work education and practice.

    1. Office of Accessibility Services

      The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) is committed to reducing barriers and enabling the full participation of students in our programs and activities. We provide academic and clinical accommodations to undergraduate and graduate students with documented accessibility needs.

    1. The CARE Team

      The Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE) Team is an interdisciplinary team which accepts referrals regarding students in distress, struggling with basic needs, experiencing unexpected crises or whose behavior raises concerns about their well-being or that of others within the Simmons community.

    2. Community Resource Room

      The Community Resource Room is a community-centered resource within the REEF Support Center (A-075 C) that strives to provide accessible and sustainable food/household products for free distribution.

    3. The Copy and Mail Center

      The Copy and Mail Center provides copy, digital printing, mail and shipping services to our faculty, staff and students. Copy and mail professionals are available to consult with you and provide solutions that meet your specifications and budgetary requirements.

    4. The Counseling Center

      The Counseling Center offers in-person and tele-health counseling for current undergraduate students during office hours. 24-hour support is available to all students through the Student Assistance Program.

    1. The Fenway Card Service Center

      The Simmons Campus Card (Fenway Card) is the official Simmons University ID. All students, faculty, and staff who are on campus are required to have an ID issued by Simmons.

    1. Health Center

      Simmons Health Services, located on the Simmons Residence Campus, offers healthcare to Simmons undergraduate and graduate students. The Health Center is staffed by Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners (and Simmons FNP Students) and a Family Physician. Additional part-time providers include a Registered Dietitian and Psychiatric consultant. Services are available by appointment at the Health Center during regularly-scheduled clinic hours.

    1. Office of Military and Veteran Services

      The Office of Military and Veteran Services assists students in navigating their Chapter 33, Chapter 35, Chapter 31, Tuition Assistance, and ROTC benefits, as well as provides programming to serve our student-veteran and military-affiliated population.

    1. Department of Public Safety

      The Public Safety Department provides police and security services to the Simmons University community. The department operates around the clock, every day of the year.

    1. REEF Support Center

      At Simmons, the REEF Support Center acts as a support hub for undergraduate, graduate, and online students. REEF refers to Resilience, Efficacy, and Empowerment through Foundational support services.

    2. Residence Campus Mailroom

      The Residence Campus Mailroom, located in the basement of Smith Hall on the residence campus, handles the receipt and delivery of mail and packages for all resident students and administrative offices on the residence campus. Our staff is committed to the efficient and secure handling of your mail and packages.

    1. Simmons Parking

      The Parking Office is responsible for the parking regulations that apply to students, faculty, staff, and visitors who wish to park in one of the Simmons University parking areas.

    2. Simmons Technology

      Simmons Technology is committed to providing reliable services, innovative solutions, and excellent support to the Simmons community.

    1. Technology Service Desk

      Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to visit us at the Service Desk for technology assistance on Simmons standard applications.

    1. University Bookstore

      In addition to all course related books and materials, the bookstore carries a wide variety of merchandise — like gifts, cards, candy and snacks — and offers many services.
