A nursing pinning ceremony is a symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the profession. While commencement celebrates the completion of academic requirements, the pinning ceremony is a more intimate, "rite of passage" event that focuses specifically on the transition from student to healthcare professional.
Undergraduate Nursing degree candidates are invited to the Nursing Pinning Ceremony and Reception on Thursday, May 14! The Nursing pinning ceremony will be held in the Linda K. Paresky Conference Center, followed by a reception in the Fens. Students and faculty will receive a separate invitation email from the Department of Nursing.
