The School of Nursing and Office of Advancement and Alumnae/i Relations will be hosting a special celebration in honor of Nurses Week 2026.
Enjoy a final, delicious brunch with mimosas at Bartol Hall with your fellow classmates, and decorate your graduation cap for Commencement in Alumnae Hall!
A nursing pinning ceremony is a symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the profession. While commencement celebrates the completion of academic requirements, the pinning ceremony is a more intimate, "rite of passage" event that focuses specifically on the transition from student to healthcare professional.
This brunch celebrates the accomplishments of graduating master’s, PhD, and doctoral candidates. Graduates are invited to dress in regalia and are welcome to wear identity-based stoles.
Each graduate will be individually recognized for their accomplishments and draped with a hood by their respective program director. The ceremony also includes a faculty and student speech, and concludes with a reception and social in the University Fens Cafe.

The Master's Reception celebrates and brings together Master's degree students and Simmons faculty from all programs for a champagne toast, hors d'oeuvres, and networking.
