Academic Support and Success

As an on-campus undergraduate student, you’ll learn and live in an environment built to support your academic and individual development. Faculty advisors and student success professionals guide you as you explore majors, meet advising milestones, and prepare for entering graduate school or launching your career.

You can connect with Simmons Academic Mentors, work with peer tutors through the Tutoring Center, and build habits and skills that help you succeed.

As an Online Degree Completion student, you’ll receive support from dedicated mentors and support staff. Your admission counselor will support you through the application process. Once enrolled, your academic advisor will provide personalized support to help you choose courses and balance school with personal commitments.

You’ll also have access to career services, technical support, tutoring, writing assistance, accessibility services, and virtual library resources.

We encourage graduate students to be in direct contact with their academic programs for academic resources.

The Commuter Student/Dix Scholar Lounge in the Main College Building offers space to study and recharge between classes. The lounge houses the Reef Support Center, which provides one-on-one help with resources for food and housing access, off-campus living, emergency funding, and survivor support.
