Community & Belonging
Building on a legacy of inclusivity
When you arrive at Simmons University, you become part of a supportive and intentionally inclusive community. You’ll learn alongside students who care about social justice and push to advance progress. We build each other up. And we fiercely embrace our work championing women and gender equity.
A Culture of Belonging
Our women-centered undergraduate community, including trans and non-binary students, creates a culture of communal empowerment.
Undergraduate clubs and organizations and graduate student organizations include identity-focused and affinity groups, providing spaces to meet friends and advocate for shared causes.
When founded in 1899, Simmons was ahead of its time for its mission to support women supporting themselves. We continue to celebrate our history through traditions and activities that bring everyone together.
Service-Oriented Leadership
