The application process at Simmons varies depending on whether you're seeking an undergraduate or a graduate degree. Wherever you are in the process, our admission teams are ready to help, from your first exploration of Simmons until you submit your application.
Getting Started
We look at you as a whole person, not just your grades. Here is your roadmap to becoming a Simmons Shark.
- Connect with your Admission Counselor. This step is optional, but we encourage it.
- Visit campus or attend a virtual admission event. See for yourself the Simmons magic in action.
- Schedule an interview. Interviews are optional, but recommended! They give you a chance to share more about yourself and your goals.
- Keep track of application deadlines.
- Start your college essay as early as possible. Give yourself time to reflect and revise.
- Request recommendation letters. Ask people who know you well for recommendations.
- Apply via the Common App. Submit your free application online.
- If you plan to apply for federal financial aid, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Over 24 and Second Bachelor’s Applicant
Designed for applicants 24 years or older or for students pursuing a second bachelors, the Dorothea Lynde Dix Scholars program provides unique services and support for adult women.
Online Adult or Transfer Applicant
You can become a Simmons student from anywhere in the country. Join us as a transfer or a returning adult learner in our fully online undergraduate programs.
Non-degree Applicant
