Undergraduate Student Conference Fund

The Undergraduate Student Conference Fund provides up to $500 for undergraduate students to participate in an academic, research, or professional conference. Priority is granted to students who plan to present their work at a conference.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis from currently enrolled undergraduate students who plan to present at or attend an academic or professional conference.

Recipients of the Undergraduate Student Conference Fund award will be reimbursed for approved expenses, which may include:

  • Registration fees
  • Lodging
  • Transportation
  • Printing or digital publishing expenses

Please note that meals, prescriptions, and other incidentals will not be reimbursed through the conference fund.

How to Apply

Applications are reviewed on the 15th of each month and will be accepted on a rolling basis as long as funds are available. A complete proposal includes:

  • Project Title
  • Faculty Advisor
  • Name, Location, and Date(s) of Conference
  • Conference Description
  • Presentation Abstract (250 words max.; if presenting)
  • Explain how attending or presenting at this conference will help you reach your academic and/or career goals.
  • Official notification confirming your participation, such as a conference page that shows your name or a confirmation letter/email from the conference organizer.
  • Total Amount Requested
  • Itemized Budget

Please note that if any co-presenters are planning to apply for funding to present at the same conference, each attendee must submit a separate application.
