Your Next Steps: Starting with Simmons Online
Follow the New Student Checklist before you register for classes.

New Student Checklist: Online Degrees

1. Set up Your Simmons Email Account
First, set up your email account to complete onboarding tasks. You’ll need your social security number or Simmons student ID number. Your ID number can be found in your "Next Steps" email from Undergraduate Admission.
All email communications will now be sent to your Simmons email account, so please plan to check it regularly.
2. Set Up Billing and Authorized User Access
Simmons University does not mail paper billing statements. All billing statements are posted to the Online Student Account Center monthly during the semester. In order to allow a family member to become an authorized user to view bills and make payments, you must first grant them access by going to Workday. Authorized users will receive an email from Student Financial Services ([email protected]) with a temporary password to login.

4. Complete Tasks in Workday
Log into your Student Workday Account to e-sign your Financial Agreement (FRA) and complete onboarding tasks. All forms must be completed prior to class registration.
5. Submit Your Final Transcripts
Please submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended to [email protected] or by mail:
Office of Undergraduate Admission, Simmons University
300 The Fenway
Boston, MA 02115
Official transcripts must be sent directly from your previous institution's Registrar's Office. If you have not completed an Associate degree, please send an official high school transcript or GED/HISET along with your college transcripts.
Please submit all transcripts prior to December 19, 2025 to ensure your credits are evaluated and posted to your Simmons account before the start of the Spring 2026 semester. If you have any questions or concerns about your transcripts, please contact your admission counselor.
6. Register with Accessibility Services (if applicable)
Simmons provides academic accommodations to ensure students equal access and to remove barriers to learning, programming, and events. If you are interested in receiving accommodations, you can register with the accessibility services office.

Academic Advisor
Every student in our online undergraduate program has a dedicated academic advisor. Your advisor will be in touch to discuss your major, review your transfer credit evaluation (TCE), assist with course selection, and answer academic related questions. New students may need to complete a math competency exam prior to starting at Simmons, and your advisor can provide guidance.

Academic Calendar
The Simmons Academic Calendar applies to all undergraduate and graduate students unless otherwise indicated.

Events
Online students are invited to join virtual happenings at Simmons, including guest speakers, technology demonstrations, and wellness workshops.
