Cost of Attendance for Undergraduate Students
Cost of attendance (COA) is a college's total estimated costs for one year including tuition, mandatory fees, housing and food, books, supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. Estimated costs are tailored to each student and depend on several factors, including student type, academic program, and housing plans. While the cost of attendance provides an estimate of the expenses for one year, it is also used to determine each student's eligibility for financial aid, such as grants and loans. Federal law defines the expenses that colleges must include in calculating cost of attendance.
