On Thursday, March 13, 2025, the Gwen Ifill School of Media, Humanities and Social Sciences will host the Ifill Forum, our annual signature event in honor of Gwen Ifill '77, '93HD. This year’s event focuses on Women’s Health and will feature a panel discussion featuring Simmons faculty experts and a keynote speech featuring Dr. Sharon Malone, moderated by WBUR Anchor Lisa Mullins ’80 ’05HD.

Alumnae/i and faculty of the Simmons School of Management gathered at the UMass Club on Beacon Street to celebrate the new School of Management Dean, Dr. Astrid Sheil. The event, co-hosted by Trustees Denise Coll ’95MBA and April Evans ’91MBA, included Anne Jardim '13HD, who founded Simmons University School of Business in 1974.

Local leaders recently gathered at Simmons University to discuss what it means to lead in today’s world. The event was part of the Unpacking Series and was hosted by the Simmons Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in collaboration with the Institute for Inclusive Leadership, the School of Management, the School of Social Work, and the Stephen D. London Center for Community Engagement and Social Justice.

The 2024 Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards Ceremony was held on November 24 at the Boston Public Library, where Cathryn Mercier, Professor and Graduate Program Director of Children's Literature, reflected on her role as a judge.

The London Center for Community Engagement and Social Justice hosted Dr. O'Connell, founder and president of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, to discuss caring for unhoused populations in Boston. His talk was titled “Continuity within Chaos: Caring for Individuals Living Chronically in Shelters and on the Streets.”
