Boston Magazine has published its 2026 list of 150 Most Influential Bostonians. President Lynn Perry Wooten was among the recognized individuals (#116).
According to the magazine, “Each year, we set out to highlight the people shaping how Boston lives, works, thinks, and feels. This year, more than most, that meant finding the people who held the line — and the ones who drew new ones … In a city desperate for creative housing solutions and full of financially struggling college campuses, Wooten is finding a new way.”
As Wooten reflects, “I am honored to be included in Boston Magazine’s ‘150 Most Influential Bostonians’ list for 2026. This recognition is deeply connected to the mission and momentum of Simmons University, the city of Boston’s only women-centered college, and the extraordinary community that brings our mission to life every day. Since 1899, Simmons has believed that a rigorous education, linked to real-world purpose, is among the most powerful tools for social and economic transformation. That belief is as urgent today as it has ever been.”
