    Behavior analysts are professionals who apply the science of learning and behavior to change behavior, teach skills, and improve outcomes. By assessing the environment, they identify factors that influence behavior. They then develop interventions to change behavior to reach goals, learn new skills, and increase quality of life.

Gaining confidence, leadership skills, and a new professional identity, she advanced into a supervisory role and now approaches her work with clarity, strategy, and purpose.

    Simmons University celebrated the 121st Commencement Ceremonies at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway on Friday, May 15, 2026. During two ceremonies, Simmons awarded over 500 baccalaureate degrees and nearly 1,200 graduate degrees to the Class of 2026.

    Art history major Cathie Behrend ’70 recently received a Legacy Award from the 92nd Street Y in New York City. We spoke with her about receiving this honor, her love of art and public service, and her Simmons experience.
