    Simmons University celebrated the 121st Commencement Ceremonies at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway on Friday, May 15, 2026. During two ceremonies, Simmons awarded over 500 baccalaureate degrees and nearly 1,200 graduate degrees to the Class of 2026.

    Simmons University’s first annual First-Generation Graduation Ceremony was held on May 11, a joint event presented by the Multicultural Center and First to FINish, the First-Generation Student Support Program that provides resources and guidance for students.

    We are honored to welcome best-selling author Gregory Maguire ‘78MA as our morning Commencement speaker and Dr. Anthony Estreet as our afternoon Commencement speaker. In addition, Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll will offer special remarks at the morning ceremony.

    Six graduating seniors have been selected for the prestigious Senior Scholar Award at Simmons University. Sponsored by the Provost’s Office and the Office of Research and Fellowships, the Senior Scholar Award recognizes outstanding scholarly research and creative works across a variety of disciplinary fields.

    On Friday, May 16, 2025, Simmons University celebrated the 120th Commencement Ceremonies at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. These events honored the many accomplishments of the Class of 2025. Over 500 baccalaureate degrees and nearly 1,500 graduate degrees were awarded.

    Simmons University will recognize two Honorary Degree recipients during the 2025 Commencement ceremonies. Long-serving Massachusetts State Senator and women’s rights advocate Harriette L. Chandler ’83MBA, and visionary leader and former CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital Sandra L. Fenwick ’72.
