Simmons Serves

Ready to get involved in the Boston community?

Simmons Serves is a London Center initiative that connect students with meaningful volunteer opportunities in the Fenway and Great Boston area. At Simmons, we know that community engagement is a powerful tool for learning, growth, and social change, which is why we are committed to making experiential learning more accessible.

What is Simmons Serves?

Simmons Serves connects you with volunteer opportunities at local community-based organizations. The London Center provides foundational training asynchronously to ground you in the Simmons philosophy of community engagement through a social justice lens.

These training sessions prepare you to be an effective and thoughtful volunteer and encourage you to think about your service in a broader context. Training occurs throughout the year, with a few in-person events to reflect on your service journey and celebrate your community impact at the end.

How to Get Involved

Simmons Serves is open to all on-campus Simmons students, graduate and undergraduate. Students with Federal Work-Study in their financial aid package can be paid for their volunteer time, making community engagement more accessible for more students.

To participate, fill out our interest form to share your volunteering preferences. We will use your input to match you with a community-based organization that fits your interests.
