Turn Your Experience into Academic Credit

Learning doesn't happen only in a classroom. Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) provides eligible students with an opportunity to earn college credit for college-level learning gained through professional work and life experiences.

Who Is Eligible to Receive Credit for Prior Learning?

Adult students enrolled in the Dix Scholars program or fully online undergraduate programs may be eligible to earn up to 24 credits through Credit for Prior Learning.

Students interested in exploring CPL should connect with their advisor to discuss the opportunity and next steps. 

How Does the Process Work?

Students interested in CPL should contact [email protected] to begin the process or during their first advising meeting. The full process is outlined in the CPL Policy and Procedures document.

Portfolio Review Fee

A one-time portfolio review fee of $1,500 is due when the portfolio is submitted for review.
