SLIS Graduate Student Fellowship

Graduate

Each year, SLIS offers a number of fellowship positions that allow MSLIS students to gain valuable research and/or experiential learning. Graduate Fellows benefit from significantly reduced tuition as a result of either a generous scholarship or tuition remission. Graduate Student Fellows also generate an income through the wages or stipend they earn in their paid fellowship positions.

Types of Fellowships

Fellows may complete their fellowship in one of two ways:

  • Dean’s Fellows support important SLIS initiatives. You should consider a Dean's Fellowship role if you are open to supporting strategic SLIS programmatic initiatives.
  • Library Fellows work at the Simmons University Library or at one of Simmons’ external partner organizations (academic and public libraries and archives. If you are looking for library experience you should apply for a Library Fellowship.

Requirements and Eligibility

Each fellowship has specific requirements for work hours, course enrollment, and duration; please review each job description for more details. Contact [email protected] if you have specific questions about individual fellowship opportunities.

Job descriptions will indicate whether a position may be completed remotely or if there are in-person, site-specific requirements.

An application must be submitted for each fellowship for which you hope to be considered.
