The Boston Globe is highlighting Simmons University’s new Business and Leadership in Women’s Sports Management concentration within the Master of Science in Management program, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Women's Sports Business, both to begin in Fall 2026. The Simmons program is the first women’s-focused sports management graduate program in the country.

Noting the national growth of women’s sports, School of Management Dean Astrid Sheil is confident in the strength and timing of Simmons’ new offerings. As she told the Globe

“Boston is the sports town. Women’s sports are growing nationally at a meteoric pace.
