The Dotson Bridge & Mentoring Center will be hosting their annual Lectureship event on Wednesday, February 25th, and all are invited to attend! This year’s guest speaker, Tiffany Gibson (MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CPN), is discussing “The Art of Emotional Intelligence”. The seminar will take place in the Linda K. Paresky Center from 4:00-6:30pm. with time for questions and refreshments. A streaming option will also be available for remote participants.

Tiffany Gibson is an accomplished nurse and businesswoman who has taken her own experience in the nursing field and evolved it, making herself a genuine resource to new nurses hoping to elevate their careers. Her work encourages others to enhance themselves professionally by mastering certain tools to maintain mental and emotional health. In 2018, Gibson established the New Nurse Academy, LLC in hopes of teaching others to embrace their commitment to the nursing profession, persevere, and achieve success.

Gibson obtained degrees in public health, nursing, and nursing education. In 2016, she made the decision to propel her professional growth by becoming a full-time clinical nurse educator and part-time adjunct faculty. She also expanded her education by obtaining a post-master’s certification in healthcare diversity leadership, focusing on equity and inclusion. It was this focus that sparked the idea to start the New Nurse Academy, LLC. – an online coaching, mentoring, and learning community designed to support nurses along their career journey.

“Through the lens of emotional intelligence, I create space for nurses to grow, expand, and show up as their authentic selves.” - Tiffany Gibson

Gibson is redefining what it means to be an emotionally intelligent nurse. The main goal now is showing others how to cultivate an identity that upholds integrity, personal agency, and psychological safety throughout their careers. They can achieve an internal sense of accomplishment beyond academic degrees. Her efforts have reaffirmed the fact that our work culture will be strengthened by developing a professional community grounded in emotional intelligence. We hope you can join us to learn more about Tiffany Gibson’s journey and share fresh ideas on professional and personal fulfillment.
