There are a number of University policies that are directly related to the Simmons brand.  Faculty and staff should be aware of these policies when sharing written or digital communications about the University.

Social Media Policy and Guidelines

This policy governs the creation, use, and management of all official Simmons University-branded social media accounts. These guidelines are intended for those individuals managing University-branded accounts to ensure that accounts and corresponding content is consistent, accessible, and representative of the institution’s mission and brand.

Generative AI Images and Video

This policy is intended to provide guidance to Simmons University related to the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for creating images for use in externally facing marketing and communications uses. This does not apply to student use or faculty or academic uses. We encourage faculty and staff to adhere to these guidelines for internal communications as well, but it is not required.

Image Consent and Use

This policy is intended to provide guidance to Simmons University employees and suppliers around obtaining proper image consent for any photoshoots or videoshoots undertaken on behalf of the University.
