Brand Voice and Tone
Voice (who Simmons is)
- Our voice is purposeful, inclusive, intentional, and aspirational, while remaining grounded in a sense of tradition and community. Simmons speaks with clarity because we know why we do what we do. We invite students, faculty, and alumnae/i to see themselves as part of a community united by purpose. There’s a deep ethical undercurrent to our voice as well. Social justice, community care, and professional readiness are all interconnected. Even when discussing practical things like hands-on learning or Boston-based opportunities, we frame them in terms of opportunities for broader impact and personal growth.
Tone (what we sound like)
Our tone is focused, sincere, authentic, enthusiastic, and action-oriented. At times, in more formal or academic occasions, we can lean more towards a more intellectual or academic tone, but always keep a feeling of warmth and authenticity.
