Simmons University's Applied Spanish minor will help you become fluent in the language and its culture. You’ll gain the intercultural competence and awareness necessary to interact with Spanish and Latin American speakers from diverse regions and in different professional settings. You’ll also have the opportunity to apply your language skills globally through study abroad programs.

Many students in our program continue their studies in graduate programs. As a prospective student, you can showcase advanced research and analytical abilities in a second language. As a result, you’ll be a better prepared and skilled candidate for any master’s or PhD programs.

Eight undergraduate scholars from disciplines across Simmons have been selected to join the Summer Undergraduate Research Program at Simmons (SURPASs). SURPASs students receive the necessary funding and mentorship to execute an independent research project of their own design.
