Simmons MS + Hebrew Rehabilitation Center Dietetic Internship

Hebrew Rehabilitation Center (HRC) is a Harvard Medical School‑affiliated long‑term chronic care hospital offering post‑acute and rehabilitative care for older adults with complex medical needs. The 9-month full-time dietetic internship program at HRC is the only internship in New England in a geriatric long‑term care setting. The HRC Dietetic Internship Program prepares interns for registered dietitian practice through clinical nutrition, food service management, outpatient and community nutrition, and sub‑acute care rotations targeted to the aging population and clinical rehabilitation.

Students in the Simmons MS + HRC DI partnership complete requirements for the MS program and the DI program over a two year period. Students complete the MS program fulltime, on campus or fully online, during the first year and complete the DI program fulltime in Boston during the second year. The MS program must be completed, or mostly completed, before the DI program begins.
