Six Students Selected for the 2026 Senior Scholar Award
Six graduating seniors have been selected for the prestigious Senior Scholar Award at Simmons University. Sponsored by the Provost’s Office and the Office of Research and Fellowships, the Senior Scholar Award recognizes outstanding scholarly research and creative works across a variety of disciplinary fields.

Ginjer Doherty ’25, Aviva Foster ’25, CJ Haggard ’25, Theo Hatfield ’25, Lili Malatinszky ’25, and Grace Walters ’25 have been selected for the prestigious Senior Scholar Award at Simmons University. The annual Senior Scholar Award is sponsored by the Provost's Office and the Office of Research and Fellowships. The award recognizes six graduating seniors for their outstanding scholarship and contribution to a field of study.
Simmons University Selects Dr. Stephanie Cosner as Provost
As Provost, Dr. Cosner will lead the vision and strategy for the full range of Simmons’ academic offerings, including the institution’s diverse mix of undergraduate, graduate, campus-based, and online programs. Dr. Russell Pinizzotto will serve as Chief Operating Officer and Kerri Brophy will be Vice President, Chief Marketing, Enrollment, and Communications Officer.
Announcing Our New Provost and Chief Operating Officer
Stephanie Cosner will serve as Provost to lead the vision and strategy for the full range of Simmons’ academic offerings. Russ Pinizzotto will serve as Chief Operating Officer to oversee and coordinate many of the University’s critical daily operations, including in technology, finance, and facilities.

On October 11, the Simmons community gathered to honor the outstanding achievements of six faculty members representing five disciplines.
