Hello! My name is Livic (They/Them) and I am a rising Junior double majoring in Computer Science and Philosophy. Within Simmons I am an active member and upcoming Co-President of Organizacion Latinoamericana(OLA). Outside of academics and orgs, I write music and love to dance! Simmons is a place that's truly felt like home after I immigrated to the US from the Dominican Republic, and I am happy to share this home with the incoming class!

Hi! I'm Maddie (she/hers). I'm from New Boston, NH. I'm a rising junior studying History and I am in the Honors program. Outside of my academics, I'm a campus ambassador giving tours through admissions. I run Simmons Stitches, a knitting club on campus. I dance with the Simmons University Dance Company (@sudcdance) and I play saxophone in the COF Jazz Band! I'm so proud to be an Orientation Captain this year and can't wait to meet everybody :)

Cori (she/her) is entering her third year at Simmons in the 3+1 Social Work program. She is one of three Orientation Captains for the incoming class of 2024. She is also the vice president of Simmons Gymnastics Club, and is grateful to be a part of such an amazing team in the sport that she loves. She is originally from Romania but grew up in the suburbs of Chicago before moving to Boston to attend Simmons. Despite the current circumstance of an online summer orientation, Cori is looking forward to welcoming this year's incoming students.

My name is Joelleen, and I am originally from Boston. I am a part of the class 2022, a Sociology major, and have been involved with social justice activism and engagement both on campus and off. I am an artist, and am always looking for new inspiration to learn from and look up to.

My name is Zenaida Rodrigues, I'm a rising senior (Class of 2021), and I'm from Dorchester, MA. I have been a commuter student since my sophomore year. I am an English major on the literature track with a minor in Cinema and Media Studies. Currently, I am serving as the Co-President of Organization Latinoamericana (@simmons_ola on Instagram!) and I'm really excited to meet everyone!

I'm a junior nursing major at Simmons. I'm the president of the Simmons University Alliance and heavily involved in the LGBTQ community on campus. In my free time I like to explore Boston and hang out with my friends. (Especially in Target)

I'm from West Springfield, MA but I'm also an international student (!), a rising sophomore, a Biology and Neuroscience major, and currently involved in Active Minds and Simmons Stitches on campus! Hi, I'm Catrina or Cat! I'm from Taipei Taiwan. A rising senior with a major in Literature English and a minor in Studio Art. Along with being an international student, I am also a transfer student and have found a loving community for myself in Simmons that I had not thought possible! I am the social media coordinator for the International Multicultural Student Organization (MISO) which attends and holds events with other cultural clubs at Simmons and other Universities.

Hi friends! My name is Olivia and I use she/her/hers pronouns! I am originally from Halifax, MA but I love being in Boston! I am a rising sophomore in the nursing program. On campus, I am a member of Simmons Club Gymnastics! I am so excited to be an orientation leader this year and I can not wait to see you all on campus!

Hi all! My name is Kendra, I use she/her/hers pronouns and I'm from Richmond, Virginia. I'm a rising junior at Simmons, majoring in Communications on the Media Arts track and minoring in both Radio and Photography. I'm the House Representative for the African and Caribbean Student Union (ACSU), I was Class of 2022 vice-president for the past 2 years, and this past year I worked as an Office Assistant in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. My name is Isabelle and I am a rising sophomore — class of 2023! I'm from Taunton, Massachusetts. I am majoring in Environmental Science and I am part of the Honors Program. Attending Fit classes, getting coffee at Common Grounds, studying on the quad, and attending meetings for various organizations are my favorite things to do around campus. I am really passionate about nature, exploring new places, and meeting new people!

Hi Future Sharks! My name is Julie Tokarowski and I am so excited to be an Orientation Leader for the incoming class! I am a rising senior in the social work program here at Simmons. I am from Worcester, MA and just transferred in last fall. I took some time off between receiving my AFA at Cottey College in Missouri and going back to school in Boston. On campus, I am involved with the Violence Prevention and Educational Outreach office which helps educate students on the prevalence of intimate partner violence and gender-based violence. I'd love to hear your Simmons story and can't wait to welcome you into our community. :)

Madison Poshkus (she/her) is a rising sophomore from Auburn, MA. She is a Political Science & Public Policy 3+1 Program student with minors in Communications, Economics, and Public Policy. She is a proud member of the Simmons University Dance Company, participates in Colleges of Fenway Theatre, and also works as a Campus Ambassador. Madison is so passionate about her Simmons community and is so excited to help welcome new first-years to campus!

Hi I'm Becca! I am from Framingham MA, which is about 30 minutes west of Boston (if there is not traffic). I am a Nursing major in the class of 2022, and I plan to minor in Psychology. I am involved in Simmons Club Gymnastics, and was previously Student Government Rep and Secretary. This year I will be President for the team! I was an Orientation Leader last year, and am so excited to be an OL again this year. I am a member of Simmons Hillel and the Student Nursing Association. A fun fact about me is that I have an emotional support animal named Shadow, and he is a dwarf mix bunny who is almost all black with white patches on his ears. I can't wait to meet all of you, and feel free to ask me any questions!

Hi y'all! My name is Josephine and I use she/hers pronouns. I was born and raised in California but currently live in Falmouth, MA. I'm a rising Senior Nursing major with a Public Health minor in the Honors Program. I'm the President of Simmons' Asian Student Association, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair for Strong Women Strong Girls, and an Admissions Fellow! I'm also a student worker in the Multicultural center. This is my second year as a OL and I also served as an OL Captain last year!

Hi everyone, I'm OL Chloe! I'm from Brookline, MA, and I use she/her pronouns. I'm a rising junior, majoring in Art History with a Psych minor in the 4+1 Elementary Education program. Along with my involvement in the Education Liaison as co-president (@sims.eduliaison), I've also written art exhibition reviews for the Simmons chapter of Her Campus (@hercampussimmons). I love going to art museums in my free time; I'm so lucky to have such world-renowned museums so close to campus!

Hi, my name is Lucy and I'm from Washington DC. I just completed my first year at Simmons (class of 2023!) and I plan to major in economics with a minor in philosophy. I worked in the Office of Community Engagement for my work study and I am involved in several clubs and activities around campus. They include our literary magazine Sidelines, the economics liaison, the political science liaison, SWAG, Alliance, and a Colleges of the Fenway organization called the Fenway Socialists. I also started working on forming an interpretive dance club with a friend during the spring semester as well, which we will hopefully revitalize when we get back on campus. Overall, I have enjoyed my time at Simmons so far and all of the opportunities I have had to get involved with the community.

Hey y'all! My name is Catherine (she/her), I'm from Amesbury, MA, and I'll be one of your orientation leaders! It's my junior year here at Simmons and I'm majoring in journalism. I'm also minoring in PR and radio; maybe you'll hear me hosting a show on Simmons Radio this year! I'm also a self-defense instructor with Girls' LEAP (@girlsleap_boston), an amazing organization that helps teach local girls aged 8-18 about empowerment and consent, and offers volunteer and work study opportunities for college students — no experience required! Can't wait to meet y'all <3

Hey I'm Jessica! I use she/her pronouns and I'm from Easton, MA. I'm a transfer student who found fell in love with Simmons after their second university didn't feel like the right fit. My major is Environmental Science, with minors in Sustainability and Business, and I am graduating May 2021. I work in the Office of Student Leadership and Activities, and am a member of Simmons University Dance Club.

I work as a bank teller, and a barista at Starbucks. I also just moved off campus and love exploring the city. If you have any questions about getting involved on campus or you're nervous about adjusting to living in the city, feel free to reach out to me! I quickly integrated myself into the Simmons community as a Spring semester transfer in 2019, and there are so many opportunities for first year and transfer students that I found really helped me enjoy my Simmons experience really quickly. I look forward to meeting you all!
