Samara Pottier-Taccetta

Associate Professor of Practice

Dr. Samara Pottier-Taccetta, DNP, CNM, WHNP is a doctorally prepared midwife, women’s health nurse practitioner, and educator with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice and nursing education. Her career spans community hospitals, urban medical centers, home birth practice, and academic institutions including Columbia University and Duke University, where she has contributed to the development of innovative nursing and nurse practitioner programs.

As founder of Whole Life Midwife, Dr. Pottier-Taccetta brings a holistic, lifespan-based perspective to women’s health. Her teaching and clinical approach emphasize evidence-based medicine, advanced diagnostics, and compassionate support, empowering students and patients alike to make informed decisions about their health.
