Elizabeth Berndt

Adjunct Faculty

Elizabeth "Liz" Berndt is the Librarian for Music/Associate Curator at New York University and Adjunct Faculty in the School of Library and Information Sciences at Simmons University. She is the Music Library Association (MLA) Liaison to the International Society of Contemporary Music and Advisor for the MLA Music Library Students and Emerging Professionals Interest Group (MLStEP). 

As a contributing editor for Notes, the Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association, she writes an annual column on trends in music publishing and library collecting. She holds a Master of Library Science degree with a music librarianship specialization from Indiana University, graduate certificates in learning design and technology and museum studies from the Harvard Extension School, and bachelor and master of music degrees in music education from the University of Kentucky and Central Michigan University.
