The PR Club of New England’s 58th Annual Bell Ringer Awards, hosted by Emmy Award-winning GBH reporter Edgar B. Herwick, was held at the Boston Museum of Science this June. This year, the awards featured a Student Work division, highlighting exceptional work from emerging communications professionals.
Two Merit Awards were presented to Simmons University students. Communications student Nevaeh Berenato ’26 (pictured with Associate Professor of Practice Carla Kath) was recognized for the article, “Concert Review: Maruja Protests with Punk at the Sinclair” (The Simmons Voice, September 2025).
The students of Studio 5 — Abigail Sadow ’26 (public relations and marketing communications), Amelia MacNeil ’26 (communications), Charlotte Skaal ’26 (communications), Danielle Williams ’26 (communications and computer science), Lily Daigle ’26 (communications), Mariella Johnson ’26 (public relations and marketing communications), Micah Guillermo ’26 (political science), and Nicole Mundung ’26 (communications) — in partnership with Smile Brookline, were recognized for “Elevating Pediatric Airway Health Awareness & Expertise.”
