Professor of Practice and MSW Program Director Gary Bailey received the Mel King Social Innovator Award at the United South End Settlements (USES) 2026 Neighborhood Gala on Friday, May 8. The award is in recognition of Bailey’s “lifelong commitment to community, education, and social justice.”
Based in Boston’s South End and established in 1892, USES provides educational programs and community initiatives to support families with young children in Boston. The Gala event, which celebrated community leaders, raised over $1.1 million.
