Way Beyond Compliance: Lowering Access Barriers with Advanced Universal Design for Learning with Guest Speaker, Dr. Thomas Tobin
Together with the rest of the Colleges of the Fenway, the Center for Faculty Excellence invites you to our fall keynote on teaching and learning. This year our speaker is Dr. Thomas Tobin, author of several highly regarded books on accessibility and universal design for learning and internationally known speaker on these topics.
Tom will joining us via Zoom on Tuesday September 22, 10:30am-12:00pm, and registrants have three options for attendance:
- Zoom: You are on Zoom as well;
- Viewing Party: You join some of your CoF and Simmons colleagues in the Fenway Room across the way at Emmanuel College for a "viewing party;"
- Lunch: For either option, you join us for lunch immediately following the webinar (also in the Fenway Room, 12-1pm) where we can discuss the keynote and anything else on your mind here at the beginning of a new academic year.
We hope that this keynote will be helpful as we all work to make our courses more accessible this year.
