Sam Richie

Associate Professor of Practice

Samia Richie, MSN, RN, is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Undergraduate Nursing at Simmons University. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Simmons University and has clinical expertise in medical-surgical, burn, trauma, oncology, renal transplant, and perioperative nursing.

Prior to joining the faculty, Richie served as a clinical instructor and simulation and skills laboratory educator, where she developed a passion for helping students bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice. Her teaching emphasizes clinical reasoning, hands-on learning, and evidence-based practice to prepare students for the complexities of patient care.

Richie's professional interests include curriculum development and teaching strategies that promote student engagement and confidence. She is committed to creating supportive learning environments that encourage critical thinking and compassionate patient-centered care.
