Jessica Moore Kaplan brings more than two decades of journalism and editorial leadership to her teaching, with experience at PBS NewsHour, U.S. News & World Report, Sesame Workshop, and Harvard’s Health and Human Rights journal. Her work has been recognized with Emmy and Scripps Howard awards and has centered on education, health, human rights, and social justice.
Kaplan earned her M.A. in Gender and Cultural Studies from Simmons University. She is dedicated to helping students strengthen their writing, critical thinking, and media literacy skills while exploring journalism as a tool for civic engagement and social change.
