Christie Griffin

Assistant Teaching Professor

Christie Griffin, DNP, FNP-C is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Nursing@Simmons. She has been teaching graduate level nursing courses since 2016. She began teaching for Simmons in 2020. Dr. Griffin serves as the Course Coordinator for the Health Promotion-a Global Perspective course. She is a board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.

Dr. Griffin's clinical experience is varied and includes family practice-across the lifespan, urgent care, community health, home health, and hospice/palliative care. She is skilled in business development and management, online education, curriculum design, innovative teaching-learning strategies, and academic writing principles.
