Amber Whitton

Assistant Director for Housing Operations

Amber Whitton (she/her/hers) supports students with logistics for move-in, move-out, break housing, room selection, housing assignments, and many other logistical projects in coordination with campus partners. Whitton is originally from a small town in Northwestern Pennsylvania but has called Massachusetts home for almost a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Communications from Clarion University (now PennWest University - Clarion) and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University.

Whitton’s favorite tradition is Almost Midnight Breakfast, an event at Bartol Hall during finals where staff serve a special breakfast to students preparing for finals as she enjoys seeing students outside of the classroom enjoying their time on Res Campus. There are so many parts of Boston that Whitton loves, but she especially loves Boston for its diverse range of coffee shops and beautiful parks, which create the perfect atmosphere for reading. Whitton is also the proud dog mom to two pups who live on campus, Milo and Millie. Milo and Millie are quite friendly and love receiving pets - so make sure to say hello to those adorable little beans!
