Linda Muri, a three-time world rowing champion and veteran coach, will assume the role of head rowing coach at Simmons.
Fittingly, her collegiate coaching career began at Simmons, when she served as interim assistant coach in the 1990s, and thereafter coached for the Ivy League.
As Muri told Rowing News, “After meeting with Simmons’ athletic director, Erica Schuling, I was really intrigued. When I got to meet some of the team, their enthusiasm really sold me, to be honest. There’s also a really good energy and camaraderie among the rest of the coaches in the athletic department.”
